The battery technology continuously undergoes rapid and frequent changes. Mastering the batteries is one of the main keys for a successful electrification of our vehicles. At Traction Battery System, we are passionate! The section is responsible for developing the high voltage battery systems. We are the core competence centre in Northern Europe in regard to Li-ion technology and automotive battery systems.
We are now looking for someone to expand our Traction Battery Module team! As Group Design Leader / Senior Design Engineer you will lead the development of battery modules from concept to industrialization in close cooperation with for example suppliers, Cell Team, System Team, Testing Team, Purchasing, Service and SQM.
What you’ll do
You will lead, plan and follow-up deliveries in the project and be the main contact with battery module suppliers regarding time, testing and cost. You will propose and coordinate design changes between module supplier and ART Hardware teams.
You are responsible for the project milestones/issue report-out and for leading project meetings with suppliers, cell component owners, design engineers, purchasing, SQM, CAE and test engineers as well as leading design reviews. You will also do module sourcing when applicable.
Do you fit the profile?
We see that you have a MSc degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, chemistry or equivalent. Your core competence lies within Li-ion and/or related battery technologies with focus on product development of battery modules. You have practical experience as a design engineer either with focus on electrical, mechanical or cell design as well as from project management including supplier communication.
You have excellent skills in English language, both verbal and written, and holds a driver’s license (B).
As a person you are a reliable team player with a positive attitude, you are Self-driven and highly motivated. You are used to take initiatives and like to share your passion and knowledge with others. You have an analytical way of approaching problems and enjoy being challenged, you always keep a flexible mindset. Further you’ll need to be professional with a high integrity and excellent communication skills to succeed in this role.
