Group Design Manager, Roplan

THE ROLE


As Group Design Manager you will be responsible for the Global Design team of Roplan. You will be managing 11 people.

 

Main responsibilities:


* Competence and personal development of all engineering team members.
* Salary talks and appraisals of all engineering team members.
* Ensuring compliance to and development of routines and procedures within the design team and Roplan Group.
* Be an assigned technical responsible for specific projects
* Be part of project organization for customer and/or base technology projects
* Provide technical support within Roplan Group
* Provide technical support to Roplan Group customers
* Perform conceptual design, general arrangement and detail drawings as per set routines and procedures
* Cooperate with  the Roplan Group Sales team
* Follow trends and build knowledge on relevant areas to be able to perform a cost efficient design based upon best practice.

In this role you are expected to have approx. 30-50 days of international travel per year.

The position is placed in newly renovated facilities in Tumba - Stockholm and you report directly to the Technical Director of the Group.

 

QUALIFICATIONS



We expect you to have experience from managing technical department in a relevant business segment. It is also preferable that you have experience managing people on different locations. You probably have a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering. You have previously worked with Solid Works or similar. You are fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
