Group Director - Forankra Group, Gothenburg

Forankra Group is part of Axel Johnson International, a global industrial group consisting of more than 120 companies in 28 countries. Forankra offers products and customized solutions in cargo securing, lifting and cargo optimization throughout the entire transport chain for all types of road, air and sea transport.

Forankra Group consists of five companies in Sweden, France, Spain and Poland and has a turnover of SEK 750 million with good profitability.

The role as Group Director

The group applies a decentralized management model and your task will be to coordinate the strategic work regarding business development, acquisitions, digitalization, branding, sustainability and other strategic initiatives in an overall, yet close and active way. You lead the board work in each subsidiary and have full responsibility for the results. As a key figure in the management of the business area Transport Solutions, you also contribute both strategically and tactically to the business area's two other divisions.

You report to Business Area Manager Erik Eklöv and are a member of the management team of the business area together with finance, M&A, Sustainability and Digitalization. Location is at the business area office in central Gothenburg. Extensive travel in Europe and Asia. Forankra's Swedish operations are located in Vårgårda and Gothenburg.

Your profile

• Experience in leading managers in an international business environment
• Substantial experience of leading international growth in relevant B2B industries e.g. transport, logistics, light industry, automotive OEM
• Experience from working in medium-sized entrepreneurial or family businesses is a merit
• Experience of trading business is a plus
• Relevant university degree and practice of English as a working language
• Experience of running extensive corporate projects such as digitalization, organizational development, streamlining and continuous improvement
