A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US
On a day to day basis, you act as a trusted partner to business and digital teams advising them on the many different aspects of data privacy and how we can use it as a business enabler towards the Ingka Centres strategic objectives and initiatives.
Every day is a new day, with exciting opportunities in which you will be collaborating and supporting a wide range of business partners and co-workers, from working with strategic initiatives and partners to hands on support with the business teams.
You will develop and nurture relationships with the EU Centres markets to build a privacy by design culture by regular interaction at all levels with the Centres co-workers and management. You will be part of a small but growing team of data privacy and information security co-workers within a wider matrix and community of like-minded individuals across the globe and different functions of Ingka.
Specific tasks and key responsibilities include:
· Implement the Group Data Privacy strategy and common group goals in the European Centres organisations
· Secure the ‘Privacy by Design’ concept and integrate the data privacy function as a key business partner
· Lead change in the European Centres organisations to develop Data Privacy maturity and governance, assigning responsibility to relevant stakeholders for completion of key activities
· Maintain the organisation's Records of Data Processing Activities
· Monitor and provide advice regarding Data Privacy Impact Assessments and the associated process
· Monitor compliance with relevant EU and national data privacy laws and applicable Group Rules
· Oversee the process of reviewing and updating data processing agreements
· Act as the key point of contact for the organisation on data privacy matters for both individuals and supervisory authorities
· Provide advice and recommendations regarding data breach management processes, and provide managerial support if data breaches occur
· Monitor and assist, where appropriate, with the execution of individual rights requests
· Report and escalate data privacy metrics, risks and non-compliant activity to the organisation's boards
You have a minimum of 3 years of progressive and diverse experience in data privacy, preferably in a global company. In addition, you have demonstrable experience in implementing best practice in data privacy and showcasing privacy by design. You are CIPP/E qualified, or equivalent. You know how to lead in a changing environment and have documented leadership skills.
You have knowledge in the following areas:
• Sound knowledge of data privacy laws and related regulations and the impacts to the IKEA business, for markets within area of responsibility
• Sound knowledge of translating requirements from laws and regulations into practical, implementable policies which can be then managed and measured
• Good understanding of how the IT landscape affects data privacy compliance
• Good knowledge of what constitutes best practice in data privacy and how to benchmark IKEA against competitors and market peers
This role is a permanent position and will be located in Malmö, Sweden
