We are now looking for a financial controller with great interest in group accounting who can contribute to the development and strengthening of our team.
Group Financial Reporting (JRO) is a department within Corporate Control, which is responsible for group accounting, consolidation and follow-up of the Scania group. Deliveries from the department include reports and analysis of financial performance of the Scania group to Scania’s CFO, and executive board as well as reporting to the parent company Traton AG and financial reports to the market. This mission demands qualitative, timely and relevant financial information. The location for this position is at Scania’s head office in Södertälje.
Job summary
We are now looking for an ambitious financial controller to join our team in Södertälje. We offer a position in an exciting and dynamic environment with the opportunity to contribute to the development and strengthening of our team. As Group Financial Controller you are responsible for the follow-up of certain areas assigned to your responsibility in the period closings and in the annual closing. With focus on providing relevant and operational analyses you contribute to deepening the understanding from different stakeholders of the financial statements.
Responsibilities and tasks:
• Consolidate, analyse and present the financial outcome within certain areas
• Support the report entities in financial reporting issues
• Responsible for some notes in the Annual Reports
• Participate in the work with Interim reporting
• Work actively to improve and develop financial models and processes
• Participate in projects, work groups and ad-hoc assignments
The work tasks in general are group accounting as well as follow-up and analysis of reporting from the Scania entities in period closings, projections and year-end reporting. We work with both Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and SAP BCS (the Volkswagen application VoKUs) for reporting and consolidation. Further tasks are participation in projects and work groups, ad hoc assignments and work with continuous improvements.
The position will give a great opportunity to understand the reporting and business structure within the Scania group. The position means close contact with Scania entities, Scania management and Traton/Volkswagen, that enables to create a good network.
Your profile
We are looking for a person with a degree in finance or business with some years’ experience. Your specific experience comes probably from financial reporting. We believe that you have a great interest in solving issues and interest in systems and how they are set up. You are used to work with reporting/accounting applications and an experienced Excel, Power Bi and PowerPoint user. Since we work in a global environment, you need to be able to communicate in both English and Swedish.
Personal skills
To be able to solve complex tasks you need to be analytical as a person and have high problem solving skills. The ability to focus on details without losing grip of the big picture is therefore essential in order to succeed in your role. You should have the ability to both work independently and as part of a team. A service-minded and solution-oriented attitude is something we place great value in, therefore you need to have both social and communicative skills in this position that exposes you to both internal and external contacts.
