Arbetsbeskrivning
We are now looking for a Group Financial Controller with specialist skills in Consolidation and IFRS to our team in Stockholm.
We’re currently a small streamlined finance team consisting of 3 people with bookkeeping and accounting outsourced to a third party. We have just opened our first foreign subsidiary and consolidated financial statements are prepared according to IFRS standards, and the parent company according to RFR2, in quarterly and annual reporting.
The key responsibility is to lead the group consolidation work on a monthly basis and deliver Interim Reports and Annual Reports working closely with the CFO and business stakeholders. You will be the main point of contact with our foreign accounting partners and will be responsible for making sure that our Transfer Pricing Policy is followed and up to date as well as keeping our accounting policies in line with best practices. In case of M&A this role will be heavily involved in the accounting and reporting matters that flow from such transactions.
Since the team is quite small there are also – from time to time - chances to get into the nitty-gritty daily tasks; keeping deadlines and helping getting reports delivered in good order.
Considering the expansion phase Mentimeter is in, the role is both to keep the good current standard, and to develop and adjust policies and reporting procedures to meet any changes that will arise. Here is an understanding of developments in IFRS important and the ability to implement these working with the relevant business stakeholders.
You will be working in our ERP system PE Accounting, also for consolidation. PE Accounting is also our outsourcing partner in terms of accounting and bookkeeping so they will be one of your key stakeholders. This role will report to the CFO.
Your main tasks:
Lead the group consolidation work on a monthly basis
Delivering Interim Reports and Annual Reports working closely with the CFO and business stakeholders
You will be the main point of contact with our foreign accounting partners
Be responsible for making sure that our Transfer Pricing Policy is followed and up to date

Must-haves:
Strong analytical mindset and a hands-on approach to challenges
Clear and effective communication skills
At least 5 years experience from similar work in group accounting and Annual and Interim reporting, for a listed company
A relevant academic degree in Accounting, Economics or Finance
Detailed knowledge in IFRS accounting
Having worked with Transfer Pricing and taxation
Sense for details and thoroughness – as always in finance work
A curiosity of and interest in different accounting issues
Strong Excel/Spreadsheet skills
Strong English skills, both spoken and written
Strong Swedish skills, both spoken and written
Please note:
Even though we are an English-first organization this role requires you to have strong Swedish skills, both spoken and written. You need to have a good understanding of financial terminology in Swedish. All stock exchange reports will first be made in Swedish and you need to have a good insight into Swedish regulations.
