To strengthen our R&D Team, we are now looking for a Group Head, in vitro Biology An experienced individual required to lead cell biology group in our exciting new focus on antibodies to GPCR and other receptor targets.The successful applicant must have a PhD and several years experience in a therapeutic area, such as oncology or immunology, leading groups in focused areas of cell biology and/ or assay development.A willingness to be in the lab environment demonstrating practical knowledge in Cell Biology and assay development and motivating and inspiring others is of central interest. The work will focus on leading a team of scientists and technicians focused on screening, characterizing and profiling of the antibody drug candidates using cell biology /in vitro Biology methods / assays including cell viability and cytotoxicity and functional assays such as cell migration, calcium immobilization, phosphorylation and internalization.You are to spend time in the lab, trouble shooting, coaching team members, establishing and designing new methods.You will direct the development of assays and apply technologies appropriate to the quality demands and/or throughput required, and contribute to the development of cell biology and appropriate screening technology as a core competence.In addition, you will ensure that the group Record Experimental data and interpretation in accordance with best practice, ensure adequate technical training of scientific staff, including the use of specialist equipment and that the group maintains analytical methods and SOPs where applicable and adheres to them where appropriate.As group head, you will mentor and develop colleagues and be responsible for their training, data quality and productivity.Support a culture of continuous improvement and the continued development of assay technology and screening capability as a core competence in the organization Industrial experience particularly with high throughput systems and with human cell based assays is preferred.Working language is English.Salary and benefits will commensurate with experience and responsibility.We would like our new Group Head to start as soon as possible.The CVs will be evaluated as they come in.
