Group Indirect Tax Manager

The role
The Atlas Copco Group Tax team is a 25 people strong international team located in Sweden and in several other countries. You, as an Indirect Tax Manager with experience of both Swedish, European and global indirect tax matters, will be part of the Group Tax team in Sweden that has the overall responsibility for all tax matters of the Atlas Copco Group. You will report to the Head of Group Tax.
With subsidiaries in more than 70 countries, the position offers an excellent opportunity to work with a broad variety of interesting and challenging tax issues in a successful global industrial company. You will be part of a tight-knit team working with various international and domestic tax matters. Our mission is to proactively manage tax issues to ensure tax compliance and tax efficiency. The role of the Group Indirect Tax Manager is to contribute to Group Tax's mission and the overall tax strategy. As part of that, supporting the business operations on VAT and other indirect tax matters is key, specifically on the implications of any transactions they are undertaking to ensure compliance with regulations and minimize the costs for the Group related to indirect taxes. The main tasks for the position are:
Support the Group Tax team by providing expertise on indirect tax matters
Main point of contact and Group knowledge lead on EU VAT and coordinating all VAT professionals across the Group
Pro-actively stay up to date in detail about EU VAT regulations, including changes being discussed by authorities
Through instructions/guidelines, trainings and interaction with operations mitigate risks and facilitate realization of business goals
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant internal stakeholders so that need for support in indirect tax matters are picked up and handled on a timely basis
Continuously look for opportunities to achieve administrative efficiencies in handling of indirect tax matters
Ensure that the Group has adequate access to external support in indirect tax matters outside Europe
Support with indirect tax changes in SAP implementations
Develop KPIs for follow up indirect taxes
Additional ad hoc duties to meet the Group´s needs.

What we expect from you
We are looking for a person with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in indirect tax matters. The position requires travelling.
Personality qualities:
You are an analytical problem-solver with good judgment and have a proven ability to take initiatives and work independently
You manage to work and deliver well under tight deadlines and in stressful situations with the ability to manage complex tax matters
You have strong technical and analytical skills, including experiences in managing large tax projects and ability to solve unstructured tax problems
You have excellent communication skills in English and Swedish (written and oral)
You are a team player and function well in project teams
You are looking for better ways to deliver lasting results and will provide visions and ideas

Education
You hold an academic degree in law or finance with a focus on indirect tax.
