Group Internal Auditor to AFRY

The newly established Group function Internal Audit at AFRY is currently searching for a full-time Group Internal Auditor to join the team. It is a tight team, at the moment it will just be this role and our Head of Internal Audit.
The Group Internal Audit responsibilities is to give assurance to AFRY’s Board of Directors through their Audit Committee and Executive management that the organization is achieving their objectives and managing risks in an effective, secure and cost-effectively way. The function works according to IPPF given by the Institute of Internal Auditors. Its scope covers all aspects of AFRY and all its activities. This means a great variation of internal audits; from small and large project audits to subsidiary audits, IT audits, process audits and so on. The function also liaises with other functions such as Compliance and Financial Control.
As a Group Internal Auditor your key responsibilities will be;

To be a key player in developing and establish steering and supporting documentation for the function.
To ensure the successful and timely completion of internal audits, from initial scoping, developing audit programs and planning through to report writing and follow-up of audit findings with recommendations (this includes audits where inspection of accounts is done, checking compliance with applicable laws, detecting ineffective or inefficient practices and verifying financial records among other tasks).
To asses internal control compliance.
To perform tests to ensure comprehensible documentation of audit findings.
To make effective and pragmatic recommendations to address issues and to add value to the business.
To communicate with other departments to verify records and confirm company policies.
To contribute to Group Internal Audit's annual audit plan and strategy, and to its continued development and help to build and maintain Group Internal Audit's presence and reputation across the AFRY Group.

The role will mean a high work rate, great information gathering and processing, analyzing and drawing conclusions. The role also involves up to about 50% travels, preliminary in the Nordics, but also Europe, US and Asia. The candidate will report directly to the Head of Internal Audit.

Who are you?
To be our new star in the team at the Group Internal Audit you need to have following

Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
3-5 years experience from Big 4 as external auditor or working with Internal Control and/or Internal Audit within business
Excellent verbal, written and communication skills (English)
Exceptional analytical skills; above average attention to detail
General IT knowledge and data mining, be able to perform data analytics to identify unusual patterns or trends and investigate those finding
Critical thinking but still master relevance, reality and pragmatism
Not shy away from responsibility
Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn a little about everything
Master business acumen

In addition, for this role, it is also important to be able to demonstrate high integrity, diligence and high work ethics. We also see that you have an interest in learning (business)systems and using them to find support for the audits.
