Group IT Director to HMS, Halmstad

HMS develops and markets products and solutions within Industrial Information and Communication Technology (Industrial ICT). Our products and solutions enable industrial equipment to communicate and share information with software and systems. We have 750 skilled and passionate professionals in 17 countries around the world, working with developing, manufacturing and selling products at the forefront of technology.

We are looking for a Group IT director who will have the overall responsibility for our global IT-organization and processes. The main pillars in HMS Group IT are:

IT operations – setting a stable infrastructure
IT Help Desk – supporting the organization
Cyber Security – setting a secure IT environment for systems and users
Strategic IT projects – supporting the organization with the right applications and projects


The general IT strategy is in place, but there is a need for fine tuning in several areas. The successful candidate will have a proven professional experience and strong leadership character.



ABOUT THE ROLE

Overall leadership responsibility for the IT department, currently five direct reports
Secure strong leadership and implementation of IT projects and applications
Assessment, development and prioritization of current IT solutions and structure, to identify the optimal combination of applications to meet the requirements of the company in the digitalization journey
Lead the IT-track of integration of acquisitions
Cross functional understanding of business goals and familiarity with developments in other departments
Represent the IT organization in the management team “CMT-GO”
Coordinate and manage continuous improvement of IT systems and processes across the company
Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements of the company’s IT systems, structure and strategy
Ensure quality requirements of external systems


YOUR BACKGROUND AND PROFILE

We believe that you have several years of experience as manager within an international IT-organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are compulsory. We believe that you have a degree in Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent education. We would like you to bring competence and know-how in areas as communications, networks, security, Microsoft Server environment and international experience. Knowledge of all requirements and current trends within IT is highly appreciated. You are a people person, a strong communicator who create good relationships, nurture a culture of teamwork and promote the development of each member in the team. You have the ability to get things done and implemented, are capable of handling strategic issues, yet ready to be hands-on if needed.

As a person you are self-motivated and independent, analytical, curious and solution-oriented with good organization skills. Group IT Director reports to CFO.
