Group Manager – Product Documentation

The department Product Documentation have the responsibility of all releases and external communication of engineering design information and engineering support within Volvo Car Group. The main task is to secure that Volvo Car Group’s products are defined and documented in accordance with established rules in a clear and concise manner. Our primary IT tools are KDP, the Engineering Data Base, and TeamCenter.The function works closely with both engineering and car programs within the company. Today we consist of approximately 100 persons in six different groups. One of our Group Managers has decided to assume a new challenge within R&D and therefore we are now looking for a successor.

As Group Manager Part Release Vehicle Top Hat & Platform you will be part of the Product Documentation Management team and lead the activities within the function and cross-functional together with R&D, vehicle programs, partners and other consumers of product information. You will have the responsibility to lead your group towards set goals, develop their competence and contribute to the department development.

•    Develop high competencies within the group
•    Provide necessary resources and competence to our Company’s stakeholders
•    Develop and maintain working principles within the area
•    Actively participate in the department management team and contribute to the development and improvement of operational efficiency and quality of deliveries

Who you are?
As a Group Manager, you will have an M.Sc. in Engineering, or several years of relevant work experience. Industry experience in the Product Data Management area. Knowledge in engineering Tools, PLM, SW/HW development and TeamCenter experience. 
You have leadership experience or are striving to be a leader in your next role. You also have experience from Design & Release area is meritorious. You communicate fluently in English, written and spoken.
