Connectivity at Scania is one of the keys in Scania “driving the shift” strategy. At the connectivity departement we work with the enabling solutions with a span from OnBoard, via Telecom to the Scania OffBoard platform.
We are looking for a group manager with an interest in software application development. The group is responsible for configuring the large amount of products that will utilise the benefit of being connected. The group consists of 14 developers. There are product owners and scrum masters that together with you will ensure the path ahead. There is a strong connection to the sales and marketing department. The trouble shooting team creates the tools needed for all connectivity teams and also global technical helpdesk.
The application is undergoing a migration to AWS cloud, hence knowledge in cloud computing is of interest.
What you will do
As a manager the main focus is to handle personnel related tasks, lead the group through the cloud migration and support the rapidly increase of demands of connectivity.
The group is heavily involved in the Common Cloud Project where the it is of essence move all features from onprem to AWS. We have the strategy to develop for the cloud rather than shift and lift. A big challenge is to keep up a rolling fleet of 400k vehicles with minimal disturbance while introducing a new platform.
We are working with agile and have DevOps responsibility. We are now using the Scaled Agile Framework and you will ensure the strategy of the group is visible and understandable in Jira that we use as a Safe tool.
You will also work in the section management team, were we together strive to be the leading connectivity solution provider.
Who you are
We are looking for an experienced manager or engineer. You have a software background and a curious nature. You like to see people grow and networking is a strong side for you. Knowledge of AWS cloud is a huge advantage. You take responsibility for what you do and communicating in English and Swedish is easy for you.
