Group Manager – Connectivity Software Development

Description of the position
The main purpose and mission of the group “SW Development” is to develop and maintain our in-house developed on-board connectivity platform. The group manager is the first line manager and the servant leader of three software development agile teams, in total approximate 20+ software engineers. The line group “SW Development” consists of three agile teams. These teams are a part of a SAFe release train of 16 agile teams. The three teams are:
Kanban team responsible of product quality, system implementations/integrations, Open source, Linux, 3rd level support and product maintenance.
Cyber security team
Scrum team, developing new connectivity/telematics functions/services.
The teams have competence in software design (C++17), test automation (Python), requirement mgmt, cyber security and software architecture. We practise agile way of working with continuous improvements and are using the latest technology and tools. SAFe, Scale Agile Framework with our flavour is practised since 2017.
The section management team, which you will be a part of, consists of the section manager and three more group managers as well one program architect, product managers and product portfolio managers.
Your role will be to provide and retain skilled members to the agile teams and coach the team members as well as the teams in the daily activities and secure necessary pre-requisites for a successful execution of our mission.
You together with the other line managers in the section are responsible to have the right capacity and competence in the agile teams to match the train backlog, in short and long term. Collaboration skill is essential.
You will drive development of processes, methods, tools, and standards related to software development in our Release Train. You will sponsor 2-3 Technical roadmaps. You will also be sponsor of 2-3 CoP (Community of Practises) teams within the Release Train. You will also secure that the software is in line with applicable technology strategies according to stipulated processes, methods and tools. As a line manger you do salary settings, participate in developing the working environment, recruit employees and consultants. You communicate regularly to the group on performance, strategies and operations and perform all other administrative activities belonging to group members.
Your responsibility is also to break down business plan activities and allocate activities to direct reports and secure competence development strategy.
You will also collaborate with our colleagues in Bangalore where the release train have software develop scrum teams as well as system teams.

Required qualifications:
Master/Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
5 years of leadership experience (line and/or project/product management)
Minimum 5-10 years of experience from SW development, embedded or from IT
