We are now recruiting a Group Manager for EDS & Wiring at Energy Storage Engineering, ESE at Volvo Group Trucks Technology.

Responsibilities / Main tasks
As Group Manager, you are responsible for the development of the team and the long-term technical strategies within your area. With us, you need to be an accessible Manager who leads and, with a focus on individual development, forms a high performing team. You are responsible for securing resources both short and long term. You will create the conditions necessary for the team to be able to develop and to meet the requirements of quality, efficiency and shortened lead times.
Technically you will be overall accountable for electric distribution and wiring components in the battery pack. This includes traction voltage cables and busbars, low voltage harnesses and non-standard traction voltage connectors. You will be accountable for the requirements, design and the verification and release of these components. Your team will also be accountable for ensuring traction voltage EMC, Y-cap and dimensioning as well as 2D/3D modelling for electrical components within the ESE department.
Through technical leadership on a holistic level, you will secure products with high customer value throughout its lifecycle. As a manager you will lead the overall cooperation with the other functions to secure aligned plans short- and long term.

To be successful in this position you need to have experience of people management, either through direct reports or as a functional leader. You need to have experience from working in automotive industrialization processes and with automotive suppliers. Previous experience from leading people in a group manager position is a merit. You need to have previous experience in the design, verification and requirement setting of traction voltage connectors, cables, busbars and low voltage harnesses. Experience from development of these components for battery systems is a plus.
You will be part of a cross-functional and international environment, with English as a natural language for written and spoken communication.
