Group Manager –Embedded SW Development
Vehicle Connectivity (VeCon)

Description of the position
The main purpose and mission of the group SW Development 1 is to develop and maintain connectivity related features and enablers based on our in-house developed on-board connectivity platform. The group manager is the first line manager and the servant leader of three software development scum teams and 1-2 software architects, in total approximate 25 software engineers. The group has competence in software design C++, sub system test automation, requirement management and software architecture. The main features connected to the group are Remote Software Download, Darf (Data acquisition and distribution). VeCon practise agile way of working with continuous improvements and are using latest technology and tools. We work close according to SAFe, Scale Agile Framework.
The section management team which you will be a part of consists of the section manager and three more group manager as well one program architect and two product managers.
Your role will be to provide and retain skilled members to the scrum teams and coach the team members as well as the teams in the daily activities and secure necessary pre-requisites for a successful execution of our mission.
You are expected to participate and contribute in Program Increment planning sessions, Program Increment retrospective meetings, Release train management meetings, etc. You will drive development of processes, methods, tools and standards related to software development at VeCon. This is normally operated in Community of Practises. You will also secure that the software is in line with applicable technology strategies according to stipulated processes, methods and tools. As a line manger you will also do salary settings, participate in developing the working environment, recruit employees and consultants. You communicate regularly to the group on performance, strategies and operations and perform all other administrative activities belonging to group members.
Your responsibility is also to break down business plan activities and allocate activities to direct reports and secure competence development strategy. You shall take an active role in continuous develop and improve VeCon to become a fully agile development organization!
You will also have close collaboration with our VeCon colleagues in Bangalore which will maybe require short business trips to India.

Required qualifications:
Master of Science in Computer Science or equivalent
Managerial experience from line management
Minimum 5 years of experience from SW development, embedded or from IT
