The Electromobility Department is responsible for developing electromobility solutions and to secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. This organization develops and drives the electromobility product portfolio for Trucks & Buses as well as creating opportunities for all business areas within the Volvo Group. A key component within the electrified powertrain is the Energy Storage System (ESS). At our section, we are accountable for the lifecycle management of the ESS, from advanced engineering, product development into the maintenance phase.


We now recruiting a Group Manager ESS System Simulation & Analysis

Responsibilities / Main tasks
As Manager for the ESS System Simulation & Analysis Group you and your team will be responsible to develop models on complete system level and run simulations to evaluate the performance of battery systems. You will support industrialization projects and concept studies. You will cooperate closely with the component simulation groups within ESS and the system simulation team at Electromobility. Your team will also have the responsibility to provide data analytics support for ESS with the target to closely monitor the performance of our products on the field. You will work closely with the Electromobility Data Analytics team to use cutting edge methods and tools. You will be the owner of the ESS system simulation roadmap and constantly develop and evaluate new tools to increase our simulation, virtual development and data analytics capabilities.

You have extensive experience from system simulations and analytics of drivelines for commercial vehicles including state-of-the-art tools and methods. Experience from battery systems and their application in vehicles is a benefit. Previous experience from leading people in a group manager position is a merit.
