Group Manager for Industrial Engineering in Operations!
As part of securing our ambitious plans for growth and excellence, we are now looking for a Group Manager for Industrial Engineering in Operations. You will as our Group Manager for Industrial Engineering( IE) work in a world-class production park, challenged by stimulating assignments. One key area is to drive and secure continuous improvements to our manufacturing processes where your skills in LEAN-and Change-management will make a difference.

In Vårgårda, just an hour away from the Swedish car mecca, Gothenburg, we have our state-of-the-art Research and Electronics Manufacturing facility. Here, together with our engineers, we develop the next generation in modern manufacturing of radar and camera systems

Our purpose-driven and curious teams are creating trust in mobility through human-centric innovation. We are today the largest pure-player in Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS). We design and manufacture products and solutions for active safety, occupant protection and brake control.





What you'll do?
As one of two Group Managers for Industrial Engineering in Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring continuous improvements to machines and processes in our series production. Your team to lead, consist of skilled Manufacturing technicians, and you will continue to develop the team towards best in class, and thereby securing the highest quality standards, efficient processes and a good working place. These technicians are part of our matrix organization, as members of cross-functional production management teams in Autonomous Manufacturing Groups (AMG).

Your main mission will be to:

- Ensure constant improvements for ergonomics and work environment
- Develop and challenge your team and the individuals to be able to drive operational excellence (LEAN)
- Ensure continuous improvements and rationalizations to our equipment, processes and workflows (OEE)
- Coordinate and implement process changes for changed components and/or products
- Set differentiated goals to improve and challenge our series production according to customers and Veoneer’s policies, standards and requirements.


You’ll be a member of cross-functional Autonomous Manufacturing Center (AMC), responsible for its engineering matters. At the AMC you’ll work closely with your colleagues responsible for Maintenance and Quality.

You are a person who is known how to instil trust and confidence to your employees, and you’ve got experience in coaching and inspiring individuals as well as teams. Your documented leader skills show the ability to assign roles and responsibilities to your employees, set clear goals and expectations, follow-up and guide, and should a conflict arise then you know how to handle it efficiently. You are known to prioritize and achieve results based on deadlines, budgets and goals.

When you are confronted with an issue, you are known to ask “why” to better understand root causes and are experienced with different analytic methods in problem-solving. You make rational decisions that are based on facts and keep a holistic view even in ambiguous situations, and lead by example.

With your competence and knowledge, you and your team will be able to take fast and clear actions. This means that you have previous experience in one or more areas of Industrialization, Manufacturing, Processes and/or Change Management, preferably within Automotive.

Level (diploma) required:

- Secondary school diploma in Mechanical/Automation/Electronics

Other required skills:

- Documented leader experience, including LEAN-management.
- Good technical understanding of Mechanical/Automation/Electronics
- Experience working with Lean production and Change Management
- Good MS Office experience
- Swedish and English, both written and verbal
- Six Sigma experience is meritious
- Customer and support experience is meritious
