The Team
TRE - Enablement at R&D Asia, is an organisation responsible for the whole vehicle validation, project office, product description, and layout. We create cross-functional frameworks and methods for developing, verifying, and validating the complete vehicle. We are now searching for a manager for the group TREA – Infant Care Sweden. This team is responsible for:
* Keeping the test fleet running by solving hardware and software deviations
* For those deviations leading the root cause analysis and short-term action implementation
* Responsible for software and hardware updates of test vehicles
* Planning and executing whole vehicle testing
* Allocating and planning functional tests together with the whole R&D organisation
This role will give you a unique opportunity to understand the integration of software and hardware of the complete vehicle. You will have interfaces to Scania’s whole R&D organization and you will build a strong network. Furthermore, the role is a perfect mix of quick problem-solving and proactive long-term planning. The organization is based in Sweden and your work location will be in Södertälje, Sweden.
Your Role
You will be a group manager for a team of software engineers, test planners, mechanics, and project leaders. You will be responsible for developing the individuals and team towards excellent problem-solving, leadership, test, and vehicle planning/execution. This includes setting processes and methods for the team, as well as recruitment and competence development.
You will also be responsible for leading the daily operations of the team and helping the team to set plans and goals to reach short- and long-term objectives. Therefore you need to be able to navigate well between details and totality.
Your Profile
To be successful in this role, you need to have previous experience as a leader in hardware and/or embedded systems software development. You are a strong team player and a natural leader, who wants to continuously develop your leadership. You are enthusiastic and you can see people and their possibilities.
Furthermore, you need to be strong in building teams, lead cross-functional work, be communicative, take initiative, and show drive to act. You need to have a clear goal and work intentionally to reach that.
You are fluent in English and have an engineering degree, Bachelor´s or Master´s level.
