Group Manager within Perception Traffic Situation to our new office in Lund
Arriver™ is a new software unit and brand, fully focused on developing perception, fusion and drive policy software for the next generation cars. It will deliver an open, scalable and flexible architecture solution running on Qualcomm® Snapdragon Ride™ System on a Chip (SoC) platform. Arriver™ has 800 people in five countries - China, Germany, Romania, Sweden, USA - and builds on more than a decade of experience in active safety software development.
In Sweden we are situated in Linkoping, Stockholm and Gothenburg with around 400 colleagues. We are now expanding our businesses with a new office in Lund.
What you'll do?
At our Lund office we seek a Group Manager within our Requirement Area Traffic Situation.
RA Traffic Situation focuses on a number of different image-based perception tasks such as detection of light sources, determining in which situation and under which conditions the vehicle operates, as well as development of exposure control.
The light detection functionality perceives other traffic participants by detecting other vehicles’ headlights, with the purpose of adjusting the high beam headlights in order to improve the visibility for the driver as well as to avoid glaring other traffic participants.
The detection of the situation and conditions in which the vehicle operates includes detection of construction sites, detection of weather and road conditions. The central part of these functions is based on machine learning and tracking techniques.
As a Group Manager you will recruit and build upon existing team of highly competent developers. You are responsible for the development of both technology and personnel. You are expected to ensure the quality of your employees' working methods, performance and competence development. Responsibilities also include budget and working environment.
As a Group Manager you will also have an operative role as Supporting Line Manager in the operative organization, including leadership of external teams and delivery responsibility.
You will be part of an exciting journey in building a brand new Arriver site in Lund from scratch and put together great teams of colleagues - a great experience of development together with the supporting staff in Linköping.
What you'll bring:
To succeed in this position, we think you have:
- Minimum Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
- Experience as a Group Manager or equivalent
- Experience in leading others as well as building and developing teams
- Good English skills, spoken and written
The position requires background and experience within software product development and processes as well as knowledge within algorithm development. As a person you are outgoing, building and maintaining good relationships.
Meriting experiences: machine learning, image processing, compute clusters, CI, agile principles and methods, the automotive industry and work with safety-critical systems.
You are fluent in English and preferably Swedish.
