Group Manager MDS – System development within Electromobility at Volvo Group Trucks Technology // Gothenburg

The Electromobility organization is responsible for the complete development lifecycle of our electric powertrains. From advanced engineering through product development into the maintenance phase. We drive the transition from conventional powertrains to electromobility and secure a stepwise implementation in different segments/regions. About the role
Are you an agile leader who gives energy to the teams and individuals through inspiring and coaching leadership? We are looking for a group manager who will be responsible for our system design and optimization. You and your team will assure state-of –the-art system simulations, data analysis, durability calculations, drive S-FMEAs and define system requirements considering also all relevant legal requirements. With close collaboration with your peers – both inside and outside the organization – you will drive changes to grow abilities to excel in products, technical knowledge, and how to work most effectively. With your drive, you challenge the status quo and believe in your ability to influence a positive outcome. Do you also have documented experience from either functional safety / ISO-26262, cyber security in automotive, traction voltage system and component design, or a broad understanding of automotive or commercial vehicle usage? Requirements:
At least 7 years of experience in system design and development within automotive powertrains.
At least 5 years of documented experience from multidisciplinary design of electrical propulsion systems.
At least 3 years of line manager experience.
Experience from developing electric drive systems.
Experience from automotive applications, preferably commercial vehicles.
Experience from working with agile development principles.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Meritorious if you have worked with product development within Volvo Group.
