Volvo Penta is now expanding the electromobility organization with a new group that will be responsible for Motor drive system (MDS). We are now looking for a manager for this group that currently consists of 6 engineers.
Role description:
As manager for the MDS team you will, with your team, be responsible for the development of our motor drive system. The group is also performing system verification in our MDS test rig and the initial calibration in different customer applications.
The MDS group is working with hardware development and adopting software functions for Volvo Penta´s unique electromobility applications and with requirement’s breakdown, specification and alignment with customers and suppliers. We have a tight collaboration inside the Volvo group and with our Penta unique suppliers.
Throughout the development process and for components and products on the market, we drive and follow up on related quality areas within Volvo Penta, Volvo Group and with suppliers
Together with colleagues at Volvo Penta and within the Volvo Group, you will maintain and develop the long-term plans for this area supporting the Volvo Penta electromobility platform for marine and industrial applications worldwide.
Who are we?
The electromobility department at Volvo Penta are a diverse team and consist of 4 groups and in total 50 engineers. We have a close collaboration within the electromobility department as well as with specific development projects. We strive towards multidimensional responsibilities that will drive development for every person in the team. Who are you?
To be successful in this position you have a relevant university degree and experience from leading development in the electromobility area. You are fluent in English both in speaking and writing and have good communication skills.
