We are looking for a Group Manager to join Fortum who are attracted by the opportunity to lead our Turbine Engineering team to a deeper technical level. Engineering supports workshops for Turbines in Naantali, Generators in Västerås as well as sales and site activities in other countries with focus on the Nordics and Baltics.

Your role In your role as General Manager of Turbine Engineering you will be responsible for leading a team of 7-10 highly skilled engineers. You are working closely with other’s Engineering Group Managers in Generator and Systems divisions. Your international team is responsible for supporting the hole organization of our sales and project delivery processes in various technical related assignments. You will also be responsible for developing Turbine Engineering to supporting and expansion of Turbine Generator Services (TGS) business.

Your qualifications To succeed in the role, we believe you have a university level degree in engineering in any relevant technical area. You have experience from a senior and/or managerial position in turbines. You are excellent with people and interested in performance-oriented leadership. You also have business understanding. Since both our customers and our own staff are international you must be ready for some travel and be fluent in the English language. Swedish and/or Finnish is naturally a big plus.

Place of employment Your placement will be at one of our Engineering offices located in Västerås Sweden, Naantali and Espoo Finland, but your staff are also located at the other locations.
