Group Manager PLC, IT and Mechanics
At Manufacturing Engineering, you are part of a global production team that makes sure that the cars we build meet the highest expectations from our customers. In close collaboration with colleagues in other business units, we develop and implement flexible and efficient production systems with people in focus. The section Facility, Tooling & Equipment Body at Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for standardising, specify and implement the production equipment in the new or existing production lines, both in the Volvo Cars' plants in Gent, Belgium and Gothenburg, Sweden.
The Group Manager PLC, IT and Mechanics in Gothenburg plant will manage the implementation of common process equipment with focus on effective and quality secured production and robust equipment solutions in the fields of PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), Industrial IT and Mechanics, based upon Volvo Cars Manufacturing System Lean principles.
Main responsibilities
* Organise work and resources towards the company objectives, in an efficient short and long-term aspect
* Utilise the resources effectively to add value to the business
* Manage and allocate the assigned work effectively to ensure that each employee is able and motivated to contribute to their maximum potential and sustainable business success
* Support the setting of the future business direction within the area of facility, tooling and equipment for the Volvo Car Corporation's body shops
* Have an active role in the Facility, Tooling & Equipment Body Management team
* Create and maintain a professional relationship with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
Required qualifications
* Master of Science in Engineering
* Experience of software development or software processes
* Driver's license B and driving experience
* Knowledge or experience in Industrial IT and/or PLC is meritorious
* Project management competence is meritorious
