In this role you will be part of Volvo Buses great journey to provide sustainable people transport solutions. The position is in Global Bus Technology (R&D) organization and part of the Customer Quality Experience function. We develop new products and support our customers globally. 

The role
Volvo Buses is now seeking an experienced leader with engineering background who sees that the key to success is to develop the organization and its people to meet future business challenges. 

The group, with right now about ten project leaders and engineers with different skills, is responsible for the improvement of our products to solve our customer product problems. The project leaders, called Quality Solution Leaders work with either our colleges at Group Trucks Technology Powertrain Engineering or our internal team with engineers. The engineers work in one agile team to solve quality issues on our electrical system and connectivity system. The engineers do also work with colleges from several different functions such as engineering, production, purchasing and service. One member of the team is our lead for Manufacturing Product Issues and solves engineering problems on the product for our plants. 

As manager of this team you will define, agree, communicate, and execute strategies and targets for the group. Your key contribution is to develop your employees to reach their full potential and be passionate employees.  Together with the team make lessons learned for our organization assuring excellent knowledge creation. You will have customer interaction to learn more about how we can develop our products to make them more successful.

Your ability to lead and inspire will be instrumental in driving our organization towards our target image. Together with your peers, you will consistently deliver exceptional performance. Cooperation with other organizations is crucial in this role since the delivery often is heavily dependent on other organizations ability. A degree in engineering and fluency in English are essential qualifications for this role.
