Group Manager Project Build Vehicle - IB products

This is us:
The Project Build Vehicle group within Product Build will be divided into two groups, Project Builds Vehicle - Stream Products and Project Build Vehicle – Intro Block Products.


Project Builds Vehicle – IB products will take the cross functional lead of the physical prototype builds supporting the intro blocks from a vehicle perspective in late development phase, from C-builds up to Serial production start.


The group will work in close cooperation with the Product Builds Vehicle – Stream product team, product development, vehicle manufacturing, GTT workshops and Product Builds prototype purchasing and procurement team.


We are continuously striving to develop the Product Build organization and way of working to be leaner and more efficient in supporting product development.




This is what you will do:
Your core responsibilities as a group manager are:
Lead and support the daily operations in the group to assist product development and deliver prototype builds in agreed time
Drive the change within the team related to culture and way of working to increase effectiveness and efficient in our deliveries
Maintain the good team spirit, cooperative atmosphere, and proudness to deliver that exists in the team
Secure a good competence level within the group through development of individuals and recruitments
Be a part of the Product Builds Management team with an interest in the long-term development of the entire section

We also see that you have the following skills and experience:
MSc. degree in Business/Engineering is seen as an advantage.
More than 5 years of experience of leading people
At least 8 years’ experience from automotive product development or manufacturing
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Knowledge about the Volvo trucks products and components; vehicles, chassis, cab, electrical and electromobility components is an advantage
Knowledge in manufacturing systems and process is an advantange
Experience of working globally or having global responsibility is an advantage
