Your working area
Scania Smart Factory Lab (SFL) is a subdepartment of TE – Global Industrial Development, within Global Industrial Engineering team. Existing manager will start a new assignment and needs to be replaced. SFL is a dynamic work environment, responsible to develop high level of innovation within Automation and Digitalization, cornerstones for the Industry 4.0. It’s an area with many possibilities to make changes for the future. The use of our Scania Production System aims to work with continuous improvements of the production system to make it more effective and efficient.

Scania aspires to be at the forefront of technological advance and industrial trends and has made several initiatives within the automation and the digitalization area. The last but not least, it is an area where diversity and inclusion is presented for real, with gender balance and people working from different nationalities, with different experience and ages.

Your assignment and tasks
Scania’s Global Industrial Development has a Smart Factory Lab Team where new techniques are adapted, evaluated, demonstrated and implemented. The team is a combined with the background from both production and IT, young engineers from different countries and experience engineers as well. You as a manager must have good skills in leading such as innovated and diverse team to be on the edge of competence in the field of Industry 4.0.

The SFL is global today, and will be even more global next coming years with "sister labs" in more continents and countries, not only within Scania but also TRATON. You as a manager needs together with the team secure good cooperation with all of the labs, production units and workshops around the world. Customer Oriented and “devoted” to cross functional work with the IT department and Industrial Maintenance. Digitalization must accelerate even more than today in our company and You will have all the tools to do it if You are the right person.

Your profile 
Leadership experience at least five years in a multicultural team
SPS and Customer oriented, devoted of cross functional work
Understand Digitalization and Automation in theory and practice
Fluent in both Swedish and English language is mandatory, more language skills is also welcome in our multi-cultural team
