At Volvo Group Trucks Technology and Powertrain Engineering (PE) we are proud product owners for components, systems and for complete powertrains. We are accountable for the whole lifecycle management of our products: all the way from the R&D stage and advanced engineering, through product development until the maintenance phase.
We stand in front of significant challenges – where reducing transport emitted CO2 emissions is one of the biggest. In this position you will be part of an organization dedicated to technology as well as empowering and developing our employees. PE Sweden organization has the full worldwide Product platform responsibility for Heavy Duty Engines and transmission with a large organization of 850 colleagues in Gothenburg and Malmö.
Your main tasks and responsibilities as Group Manager Turbo System Design
If you love engineering and teamwork, PE Malmö is the place where you will be able to utilize your technical and leadership skills to their full potential. You will be responsible to guide, engage and develop a highly skilled and positive team of roughly 13 engineers. You will be a part of the management team in Malmö where we all contribute to develop the complete section as well as our complete operations.
We have a wide and complex scope worldwide with a cross-functional focus. We aim to behave as true product owners over the complete product life cycle. This mean that in our daily operation’s, close interaction within PE and with other functions will be a necessity to be successful. You will develop and maintain stakeholder’s interfaces such as the global engineering network and cross functional network. You also have responsibility for:
Lead, develop and inspire a team of simulation engineers (CFD and FEA), component responsible and design engineers working with Volvo´s heavy duty turbo systems
Lead and plan the work for development of our turbo system components from cradle to grave
Develop methods and tools within your field, to secure quality assured developments as well as knowledge capture

We believe that you have the following background, skills and competencies:
University degree in engineering, preferably in area connected to internal combustion engine technology or equivalent
Good knowledge of Combustion engines, design work and production processes
You are experienced in operating in a global environment both in handling suppliers and as well as working with different sites, markets and brands
Long and proven leadership skills or/and experience from design work
