With new technologies, a wide truck product range and solid expectations to deliver word-class products – we are looking for another star in the Certification & Compliance management team.
About Vehicle Certification & Compliance
Vehicle Certification & Compliance is part of Complete Vehicle (CV) Organization within Group Trucks Technology (GTT). At Complete Vehicle, we manage areas from product design & feature development, verification and validation, certification, aftermarket, and customer quality services.
The Vehicle Certification and Compliance section covers EU/UNECE regulations and over 50 requirement areas. Our engineers act as a bridge between design departments and technical authorities. Today’s Vehicle Certification & Compliance department consists of two groups, one in France (Lyon), and one in Sweden (Gothenburg). For the Swedish team, we also have engineers located in India. With this recruitment, we are now splitting the current team in Gothenburg into two groups, Vehicle Certification and Vehicle Compliance. Vehicle Certification & Compliance is a global network, and we are collaborating with certification departments also in US and Brazil.
The certification process spans across Volvo Group and gives great opportunities to meet and interact with colleagues world-wide. Our teams play an important role in securing that our products meet intended performance and feature readiness – contributing to the success and productivity for our customers!
Job Description
The Certification team in Gothenburg are responsible to deliver Type Approval certificates for our FH, FM, FMX products, as well as for the common platform systems. As group manager in this domain, you will be accountable for the team deliveries, and you will be responsible for continuous development of both the team and the individuals. You will get the opportunity to lead a team of dedicated professionals with high integrity and strong compliance mindset. In this position, you will maintain a network both inside volvo, and at the type-approval authorities.

Are our interests matching? We believe you have the following knowledge/experience:
A Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent
At least 8 years of experience from automotive business
At least 3 years of experience in product compliance, certification, regulations or legal domains
Documented line management or equivalent leadership experience
Excellent communication & negotiation skills
Ability to lead & drive complex work tasks and to show measurable results
Continuous Improvement mindset, with ability to drive and implement change
