Verification & Validation Department


The Verification & Validation department, part of Customer Quality Experience (CQE), is a function within Global Bus Technology (GBT) at Volvo Buses. We are responsible for building and maintaining test objects ( from plan to final delivery) and to perform and develop tests to visualize and secure the quality status of our products. The management team of V&V, are working close together to develop our department to meet future challenges. We are all located in ARAL, Arendal, Gothenburg.

We as the management team of Verification and Validation drive the development of our department and find the solutions together.


Verification & Validation department are now looking for a Group Manager for the team Verification & Validation testing. The team is working very close together with platform development developing test methods and performing tests to secure and show the quality status of our products. The team consists today of 14 test engineers and performs all types of tests in the areas of; noise, vibrations, performance, flow etc. The team is responsible for testing both our own test vehicles as well as performing field tests at customer location. After testing we share our learnings and release reports to be used for the future.


Main tasks


You will have the responsibility to develop the group and the people to support future challenges contributing to Volvo Buses profitability. Within this responsibility you will need to define, agree, communicate and execute strategies and targets for the group. We mostly do our testing in complete vehicle and use our test-vehicles av well as customer vehicles for field tests. Planning, prioritization and direction setting for short and long term activities are part of your day to day activities. In this position you will work very close with the manager for our Prototype Workshop and you will need to secure good networks within and outside of the Volvo Group
In this position you will report to Director of Verification & Validation.

Experience from verification or validation area
High technical interest and great vehicle knowledge
