We are looking for experienced leaders to our IT department.
Are you a confident leader who is driven by coaching and developing employees in an organization that is characterized by high tempo, successful deliveries and great team spirit? We are looking for Group Managers to the IT department at H&M.
Your main goal is to enable our employees with the right skills and commitment to grow with H&M and achieve business goals. In your role, you have an ongoing dialogue with your staff to develop their 'skills in the short and long term.
We have a matrix organization, where you as a Group Manager are responsible for about 15-20 people. You will perform appraisals, salary reviews and recruitment and handle all types of questions around your staff. You have a close cooperation with the managers, who have the delivery responsibility and you coordinate goals and activities. Your employees may have different roles for example within requirement, testing, architecture and project management. Your staff can have assignments in multiple delivery areas. This will give you many dependencies and this places high demands on you as a leader, in terms of building trust on several levels and to communicate in a clear and inspiring way.
We believe that you work as a leader and have a great interest in coaching your employees in their development. You like to work with constant improvements and have the ability to be proactive.
In your role, you are often involved and are expected to be involved in cross-divisional issues related to reorganization, way and working, and people change. You also work with staffing and sourcing strategies and you are responsible for ensuring resource and knowledge requirements in the short and long term.
You have a work environment responsibility and you will work together with colleagues to pursue issues related to stress, employee surveys and satisfaction in the workplace. You are also working in projects around leadership development, talent management, change management and induction programs.

Your to- do list includes:
- Staff Responsibility - coach and develop employees
- Hiring employees and handling consultants
- Dialog and salary reviews
- Manage competence needs, both long term and on an individual level
- Staffing of projects and maintenance groups in line with our sourcing strategy
- Participate in the area's management team and contribute to the area's deliveries and Development
Your skills
Just like everyone at H&M, we believe you are a social, open, communicative sales-minded and ambitious team player full of drive and optimism.
And your skills include:
- Documented experience of at least 3 years as a Group Manager
- Knowledge in and experience of IT
- Genuine interest and curiosity for managing and developing staff
- Good skills in Swedish and English, both orally and in writing
It is an advantage if you have leadership experience within delivery, i.e. as a project manager, system responsible or similar, have worked in a matrix organization, international environments and in large organizations.
