Do you believe in safety first and are passionate about developing our safety culture? As Group Port Safety Manager, you will be responsible for leading the area of occupational safety and safety culture, health, and environmental awareness in compliance with the HSSE policy and the HSSE Partners within the Ports and terminal function.
You will ensure that relevant and efficient group standards are developed and maintained across the Ports and Terminals function. You will also identify where local laws and regulations need to be local, according to the principles as common as possible and as local as necessary. Ensure to identify proactive improvements and learning needs and follow-up the implementation in the operation together with the HSSE Partners.
Some of your key responsibilities:
- Prepare, assist in the formulation of, and implement the HSSE policy.
- Take the lead and proactively assess new procedures needed for occupational health and safety, security, the environment (environment concern permits and waste streams), and quality control. Coordinate the creation and follow-up implementation.
- Ensure compliance by advising and supporting the organization with respect to occupational health and safety and the environment (ISO 14001), safety and security (ISPS), and the transport of hazardous substances (ADR/IMDG), all in accordance with the HSSE policy and relevant laws and regulations.
- Certification and auditor of ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.
- Influence all levels across our organization, drive and implement a Health & Safety plan as well as work for a proactive safety culture across Port & Terminals together with the HSSE Partners and Port Operations Managers.

Since this role includes traveling across our different ports and terminals you are someone who’s flexible and able to travel when required.
Qualifications:
-Higher vocational education
- In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety (including International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code and ADR), Security, and Environment.
- Good knowledge of ISPS regulations and requirements.
- Experience from working in large complex and operational businesses.
- Fluent in English, verbal and written.
- Driving license
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent e.g., NCRQ Applied Health & Safety is a plus but no requirement.
