YOUR ROLE – key responsibilities
As Group Sourcing Manager you will take business ownership of one or several categories across the Permobil group. You will be responsible to define the strategic direction and lead execution of initiatives to drive cost reduction and value transformation from the supplier market in to business results.
You will manage and develop relationships with new and existing suppliers to optimize quality, delivery, cost and facilitate technology alignment with strategic suppliers. Following-up and monitoring of key measures such as compliance, quality- and delivery performance and product cost development is part of the role. You will also be responsible for evaluating, selecting and qualifying new suppliers. You will be visiting suppliers for scouting activities, risk assessments and business review meetings with senior stakeholders.
Contract management is part of your responsibility leading negotiations with suppliers to establish frame agreements and performing contract negotiations including prices and conditions. Adherence to Permobil general requirements and code of conduct is regularly assessed in relation to our agreement framework and part of the contract management and risk process.
In the position you are expected to lead our source to agreement process including compiling and evaluating tenders and awarding business to suppliers contributing to Permobil business plans and profitability through the delivery of cost savings and value propositions. Furthermore, you will implement cost effective solutions considering make/buy perspective and TCO parameters – based on product quality and supply chain optimization.
In stakeholder management you will develop a deep understanding of the three business unit strategies and requirements and how sourcing initiatives can optimize the level of value that can be added to the business. You are expected to provide senior stakeholders in the business units with opportunities to enable growth and profit contribution, utilizing the capabilities the supplier market offers.
The position requires effective communication and cooperation leading internal cross functional teams and setting directions, strategies and prerequisites for the supplier base, together with product development, product management, operations and supply chain.
The strategic sourcing team works with an analytic and fact-based approach and undertake spend and market analysis regularly to drive business results. This is done with support and guidance from the sourcing operating model, applying best-practice processes, tools, and techniques.
