We are looking for a Group Sustainable Products Manager to implement strategy, goals, KPIs and to support the successful improvements of our assortment of sustainable products in the Systemair group. We have a long history of working with energy efficiency which will continue to be important. Going forward we want you to strengthen our road-map to become more specific about our achievements and to broaden the scope and include more circularity in product development. You would have 3-4 years formal university education regarding general mechanical engineering in combination with sustainable product development methodology and experience from hands-on work with product sustainability methods and Life Cycle Analysis work in an organisation producing and selling products and services.
Work description
As responsible for Group Sustainable Products, you will drive the transition to integrate a framework supporting more of a circular approach to our product development strategies, processes and methods. You will specifically work with securing support, processes and tools to efficiently produce the needed documentation of sustainable products (LCA, EPDs and the like) in the markets as it evolves.
Your work will often reach across many areas of the business and many different companies within the group and more specifically you will cooperate with our public affairs, global sustainability manager, Group technical director and local development groups.
As Group Sustainable Products Manager, you’ll need to:
• Research and identify new business opportunities – including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services – or new ways of reaching existing markets
• Understand the needs of the customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
• Think strategically – seeing the bigger picture and set aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
• Work operationally – carrying out necessary plans in order to implement operational changes
• Have a good understanding of the overall business’s products and services, and to be able to advise others about them
• Ensure that colleagues are on board throughout the organisation, and understand the need for change and what is required of them
• Seek ways of improving the way the business operates
Your profile
To be successful in this role you will have the following profile:
• Formal education in the area of sustainable products development including documentation of sustainable products, (LCAs)
• Experience from driving organisational change
• Experience from managing projects and/or participating in projects and working in a matrix organisation
• Experience from developing products for in-house or out-sourced production
• Demonstrate ability to motivate and communicate with others at all levels and cultures
• Excellent communication and pedagogical skills
• Able to adapt and succeed in driving change in an international environment with geographically dispersed teams
• Excellent communication skills in multiple languages is an advantage, English are essential
