HCL Tech (MBAP) is seeking a Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM Solution Architect to join their award-winning and growing team. The Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM Solution Architect carries the ultimate responsibility for meeting the customer requirements and completing the project. The Dynamics 365 F&SCM Solution Architect will be comfortable in all aspects of delivery. They must be capable of switching between supporting or leading customer facing functional workshops and a group of functional consultants and business analysts, supporting technical roles including interface design, data configuration and migration and development teams, either customer based or HCL MBAP centric onshore and off-shore teams, working with project and program managers to effectively report on progress and risks and issues – to liaise with both internal and customer senior stakeholders – adjusting the approach and language as required for each interaction. The candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, be meticulously organized, and be able to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Drive quality and consistency within the company and champion the use of the Proven Process methodology. Ensure methodology is adhered to on all projects.
Assume overall responsibility for solution design and architecture including clear visibility of transition from as-is solution landscape to to-be solution landscape through delivery and ownership of solution overview diagrams.
Ability to act as a functional lead across multiple functional streams and able to demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as functional capabilities. Leads functional workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions. Owner of the overall solution design.
Ability to work alongside an interface/integration lead and able to demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities. Leads functional elements of integration workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions.
Ability to work alongside data migration lead and able to demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities. Leads functional elements of data migration workshops with customers, documents requirements and designs appropriate solutions. Owns the overall configuration and gold build of the solution being implemented.
Be a strong advocate for adherence to standards and best practice. Understand the capabilities of the functional and development team, providing support and assistance when needed
Work with customer and internal teams on solution, business and infrastructure architecture where required.
Provide required functional, business and solution support to our customers during D365 F&SCM implementations and working with D365 CE Architects on hybrid / enterprise projects.
Write and review high level and detailed solution architecture documentation in line with Proven Process methodology.
Create Solution and Functional documentation for the project. Ensure that all documentation required based on the project commercials and the Proven Process methodology is completed to the required standards.
Engage with test team to ensure the solution is tested thoroughly.
Stay current on D365 F&SCM and related technologies, particularly Azure stack technologies that support the solution
Mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge and experience to ensure that the team grows in experience and effectiveness
Expected to be flexible with time and capable of working in a process-oriented environment
Excellent communicator with ability to operate within cross functional teams
Advise customers on best practices for D365 F&SCM processes, user interface, and architecture
Work with the training team to deliver and create super users and end users training, as needed
Comfortable participating and leading pre-sales engagements
Work effectively with the sales team on delivering tender response documents, estimates and customer demonstrations
Qualifications and Skillsets
Solid Microsoft platform Software or IT experience.
Extensive experience as either a functional lead, solution with AX or D365 F&O
At least 5 end-to-end full life cycle implementations of AX or D365 F&O
Expert knowledge of finance and distribution and trade as well as good understanding of PMA, HR and proven industry experience in a number for industry sectors.
Experienced in the use of Microsoft DevOps to manage project deliverables.
Exposure to Visual Studio Team Services or other similar enterprise planning and delivery tools
Experience of leading projects using all aspects of LCS
Able to manage or lead multiple large projects (6-24 months) with advanced organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Professional demeanor
Feels comfortable talking with clients at all levels within an organization
Ability to balance short-term demands while maintaining the long-term vision needed to guide a customer through the implementation process.
Advanced use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio.
Ability to work remotely and on customer site. Regular travel expected.
