Sheraton Stockholm Hotel is centrally located by the water and the town hall. The hotel is on of Stockholm’s leading and largest hotels with 465 guest rooms and 15 conference rooms. We are now looking for a Groups & Events Manager to lead and motivate our dynamic and creative in-house sales team and together with the team drive revenue and sales in the Groups and Events Department.

Main responsibilities in the role

*Develop and manage group and events sales revenue together with the team
*To work together with the management team to create and implement group sales / marketing plan addressing revenue, customers and market
*Assist with selling, implementation and follow-through of group sales promotions
*Gain understanding of the hotel’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns to offer better business solution both prior to and during the program/event
*Verifies that the property implements a seamless turnover from sales to operations and back to sales while consistently delivering high level of service
*Create an environment where learning and development of your team and the individual associate becomes an integral part of the daily job
*Partner with Human Resources to attract, develop and retain the right people in order to support the strategic priorities

 
Your profile and background
In order to fit in the role we believe that you have the following skills and knowledge:
*Relevant education for Hospitality and/ or Sales & Marketing
*Minimum of 2 years of leading team of minimum 4 people
*Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience of sales
*Fluent in English both written and spoken English
*Excellent communication skills with a wide range of people
*International experience is an advantage but not a must.
