WHAT UTOPIANS DO
We are building a better world for music with innovative big data technology that tracks online music sources and translates them into meaningful music consumption reports for royalty collection. The solution we’re building does not threaten to usurp the role of industry incumbents - it is about bringing transparency in the industry and supporting efficient royalty collection.
WHAT YOUR ROLE WILL BE
We are looking for a Growth Marketing Analyst to join Utopia's marketing team and lead + oversee our marketing and growth analytics efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical, marketing and business background with experience in setting up and/or building the required systems and programs to launch in-house marketing analytics tools. You will be responsible for planning, executing, analyzing, and optimizing our growth marketing strategy. As an analyst of the marketing team, you will also be responsible for establishing our data models and reporting standards.
In addition, you will own and develop data-driven insights and recommendations to help improve our marketing and client acquisition effectiveness. You will be an expert on analysis, leveraging our data sources to propose new ideas and drive key strategic decisions.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategically oversee the analysis of our customer acquisition strategy (online and offline) across all relevant channels such as: paid social, paid search, content marketing, organic referral, email, website leads, podcast ads and video advertising.
- Develop, help build, and maintain Dashboards and Data Models allowing stakeholders to easily digest actionable insights.
- Operate and streamline our reporting standards that will be utilized by all business units.
- Mine data and analytics to gain a better understanding of user funnel and engagement behaviors, including impacts of current marketing strategies.
- Implement and analyze Tests to provide in-depth insights to the marketing team on the test data and understanding of our marketing drivers’ effects.
THE IDEAL SKILLSET
- BS or MS or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of quantitative or statistical analysis experience.
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, advertising or growth.
- An analytical mindset, with advanced knowledge of Excel, SQL, third party analytics, and attribution platforms strongly preferred.
- Strong data visualization skills
- Ability to effectively communicate data into insights and actions.
- Familiar with marketing funnels and the economics of user acquisition and retention.
