If only recruitment was as easy as this. But outside of Hogwarts, there is no sorting hat. Or is there…? Alva Labs is building a tech muggle version of a sorting hat that helps organizations globally identify who is a good match for their job openings. We are now looking for a growth wizard that can work magic with our data, make dropouts from the sales funnel disappear into thin air, and conjure up more deals, faster.

And yes. We went with “Growth wizard” to bring the Harry Potter analogy home. Sometimes the role is also called “Growth Hacker”. But at the end of the day this role isn’t about hacks or magic. It’s about approaching marketing in a structured & data-driven way, where you use data & insights to find growth opportunities.

Alva in a nutshell
Ever stumbled upon a personality test in a recruitment process? Alva Labs is a SaaS scale-up that offers a unique candidate assessment platform. We help companies build their organizations with the right people in the right place, in a fair, accurate and automated way. By combining state-of-the-art psychometrics, data science, and an obsession with candidate experience, we provide the needed tool for data-driven talent acquisition.

We are growing 2-3x per year and are in the exciting phase to launch Alva in new markets.

Why is this role important to us
We are growing. Fast. We have a strong product-market-fit and happy customers (some of them raving fans, even). We are closing in on 100 000 assessed candidates, 8000 job positions, and 200 customers. We have proven that we can grow - now it’s time to start scaling. As our Growth Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing our sales funnel and building a lean mean lead machine. You will work across the whole customer journey: From getting visitors to the website, converting them to leads, helping the sales team close the deal and finally finding ambassadors and referrals within our existing customer base. This role is key in growing our revenue, and crucial in helping us expand in current and new markets.

What will you do
Your main responsibility is to drive new revenue and grow the company. Easy peasy, right? That also means you have to go where the data & opportunities take you, but here’s a shortlist of what we think you will be focusing on:

- Take control of the sales funnel- making sure data is collected and structured, finding insights and taking action on them
- Own campaigns & lead nurturing flows in Hubspot
- Distribute our content and find out what works and doesn’t work
- Lead the work of our agencies/freelancers in Paid social and SEM
- Lead our SEO and CRO efforts
- Work closely with the Sales team to understand their needs & challenges to find improvements in the sales funnel (and take action on them!)
- Work closely with the Customer Success team to understand the user journey & customer pain points to find improvements


Who are you
- A data & statistics lover. You understand numbers, how to slice data and what you want from a dashboard. And you know how to present it so non-marketers (a.k.a. muggles) understand it.
- A techy marketer. From choosing what tools you need (be it Hotjar, Google Optimize or GA4) to understanding how to implement it.
- You’re the jack of all trades. A one-person agile team - the product owner, the scrum master, the paid ads specialist and the creative. You will of course have resources to work with freelancers & agencies as we scale, but you should also be comfortable rolling up your sleeves.
- A goal-striving individual and a prestigeless team player. We have really ambitious goals here at Alva, and the only way to reach them is to work together as a team.
- Comfortable having a lot of interactions with other teams and stakeholders. As you will run a lot of cross-functional projects, managing expectations and partnering up with colleagues in other teams will be a key to succeed in this role.
- We expect you to be fully comfortable communicating in English, as it’s the official language at Alva. Swedish is not a requirement.


What have you done before
We have really high standards and are searching for that person that will dazzle us. What makes you great, however, isn’t necessarily a long experience. Perhaps you have a background in digital marketing, ideally from b2b. Or you know your SEM, paid social, web analysis, and SEO. Basically, you have most likely been hanging out in contexts with a lot of data. However, we truly believe that great people will find a way, regardless of previous experience. We are currently a team of 35 happy campers, based in central Stockholm with a collective and extensive experience of building tech companies, Psychology, Psychometrics, Data Science, Engineering and Product Design.
