GSM Application Engineer, Switzerland

We are searching a new colleague as a GSM Application Engineer GSM (Global Sapphire Model) is a global and standardized data warehouse for UBS international locations. Its kernel data model is client-centric and contains mainly Private Banking data. Today, GSM is serving all business areas -- Finance and Accounting, Front Office Applications, Risk, Client Reporting, Sales and others. It includes additional modules such as Client Masking Module (CMM) and Code Translation Modules (CTM), an Oracle Database Framework, PowerCenter Framework (mapping templates) and a growing number of inbound and outbound interfaces to data marts and global applications (UBS Group). Technologies used in our team: . Data modelling: PowerDesigner . Database: Oracle . ETL-Tool: Informatica PowerCenter (Version 7) . Reporting: Business Objects Tasks: Analysis, support, design and development of standardized global interfaces from and to the GSM global data platform and to other applications and data marts in an international project environment. To be effective in this role you must have the following skills and qualifications: . Design and development of applications throughout the entire software life cycle . Knowledge of Oracle 8 or 9 and SQL . Experience in data warehousing; Business Intelligence experience desirable . Private Banking knowledge and experience is desirable . Fluent written and spoken English Furthermore, you are accustomed to: . Working in a customer- and process-oriented environment . Frequent travel to international locations . Working in an international and multicultural team . Pragmatic problem analysis and flexible solution design
