Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Are you passionate about electronics design?
Do you want to join our team developing Hardware In the Loop (HIL) automated test environments?
Our growing organisation provides the test platform that will make a difference for vehicles of tomorrow!
We are responsible for developing and maintaining HIL – rig systems (Hardware In the Loop). In order to be able to test the vehicle’s software, we develop and build state of the art HIL-rigs, that supports a large number of truck and bus configurations. The purpose of HIL is to test the software executing in the hardware. This is done by tricking the system and its component parts into believing it is executing in a real vehicle with all its dynamics. This is achieved using real-time execution of environmental models.
The group consists of 2 teams, System integration team and Hardware team. The group also runs our projects with the help of 2 satellite teams, one closely connected to each of the teams.
As the group manager I value mutual honesty and trust. Team collaboration where every team member participates to find good solutions with a positive attitude.
Your task
In the team one of your tasks is to develop electronics and make drawings for PCB´s. Another task is to design solutions for integration of new electrical control units in the rig and make schematics. You work in close contact with electrical technicians that will build rigs using the information from your schematics. To be able to communicate with the hardware you will also develop the software closest to the designed hardware. Test of the designed HW and SW are also one task.
Together in the group we develop the HIL-environment to a modular platform that can support Scania´s project and function growth. We all contributes to improve our processes and eliminate waste.
Your profile
You are a person with good communication skills who likes to drive things forward together with others. With a positive can-do attitude you find solutions even if the requirements are vague. You are capable to work in a structured an analytical way and to handle many different questions simultaneously.
You are a graduate engineer within electrical engineering or equivalent with some years of work experience. You have experience of working in the tool Eagle. You have experience of back end software development using C, C++. You have at least a couple of years’ experience of HW design. Experience of HW design for HIL-rig used in the automotive industry is meriting. Experience of Embedded system development is meriting. You are fluent in English both written and spoken, and if you don’t speak Swedish you are eager to learn. A requirement is a class B driving licence, C driving license is meriting.
We offer

We collaborate with the owners of the different embedded systems which will give you a broad network within Scania and also the possibility to learn about the details.
