Our Exciting Opportunity
We are now looking for an operationally focused DevOps engineer. The role will require a strong customer-orientation, helping to ensure maximum availability of our silicon hardware development environment. Successful candidates will maintain and improve a complex, state of the art compute, storage, access and repository environment, to ensure speed and quality for our large organization of hardware developers. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with internal and external IT, tool vendors, and infrastructure providers. Successful candidates will also require a solid focus on operations (infrastructure management, configuration, support, & maintenance, as well as liaising with corporate IT), having the potential to work in flow development items as bandwidth allows, and work closely with our DevOps team and corporate IT teams at multiple international sites, as well as internal and external tool providers to support hardware developers across our sites in Sweden, North America, India and China.
This position reports to Head of Digital ASIC&FPGA Infra&Tools.

Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling
Perform trouble shooting and customer support
Drive continuous improvements of products and processes
Develop competence in technical domain


To be successful in the role you have
Master of Science in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science + 2 years relevant industry experience -or- Bachelor in EE, CompE or CS + 5 years relevant industry experience
5+ years of experience enabling developers through support of engineering IT infrastructure, including: Unix / Linux environments, compute and storage coordination
Working knowledge of source-code repositories such as Git (preferred), and/or ClearCase, bug tracking tools (Jira, Bugzilla, proprietary), database installation and administration, and metrics collection/reporting
IBM Load Sharing Facility (LSF) or other compute cluster design, configuration, maintenance, and trouble-shooting experience
Experience with creating and maintaining Continuous Integration flows (Jenkins based)
Knowledge of configuration management systems e.g. Ansible, Puppet, yum, apt
Strong customer centricity, horizontal leadership, and IT and/or IT-liaison experience
Experience of using “consultative approach” to uncover customer needs and sound “change management” methodology to roll out new solutions and improve existing solutions
Demonstrated strong triage and debug capabilities
Advanced skills or proficiency in Python (preferred), Perl, and Shell scripting languages
Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) via Active Directory (AD) / Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP)
Business understanding
Planning and Organizing skills


Additional Requirements
Intermediate competency in building and installing compiled tools on Linux
Linux module command experience
SystemVerilog debug and development experience
Experience developing semiconductors or supporting semiconductor development flows
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology (Scaled Agile)
Experience with Atlassian tools (eg Jira, Confluence)
