You will be a part of our HW team that facilitates the hardware development for Grid Automation Products. You will direct report to HW Manager in the Global R&D.
Grid Automation Products is a business unit within Hitachi ABB Power Grids that is responsible for the development, marketing and sale and manufacturing of products for protection and control for generation, trunk networks and regional network applications. The unit's product offer consists of IEDs in the Relion® 670/650 series. The unit also offers services such as training to ensure customers get the maximum return on their investment in Hitachi ABB Power Grids protection and control solutions.
Your responsibilities
Develop of our new HW modules (requirement analysis, simulation, schematic design, design verification, testing and PCBA)
Lead or contribute HW Systems integration, EMC, electrical safety and type test and NPI (New Product Introduction) activities
Maintain existing HW modules (Cost Cuts, EOL, Production Support)
Lead or contribute HW development projects within international matrix organisation (Hardware, Firmware, Software, Test, Supply Chain, Quality and Product Introduction teams)
Take part in further developing our ways of working

Your background
You hold a Bachelor or Master´s degree within electronics engineering or equivalent
At least 3 - 5 years’ experience in HW Design and 1-2 years in project leadership
It will be a part of your job to communicate with other Business Units, departments, team members, projects leaders, external partners and suppliers. It is therefore important that you are open-minded and straightforward in your communication
Experience with the CAD and simulation tools for HW design is valuable
Experience in embedded system firmware will be to your advantage
You are a natural problem solver, who enjoys meeting new challenges
A team player with holistic view, high integrity and the skills needed to manage constantly challenging and changing targets
As you will be part of a company that operates on the global arena, you must be proficient in English. Preferably you are also fluent in Swedish
