Background of thesis project
Increased environmental awareness has led to further electrification demands from society on commercial vehicles and off road applications. Feasible solutions require very large amounts of battery energy storage capacity, while simultaneously requesting ultra high charging powers to allow faster charging. Therefore, high voltage systems will have a higher level of integration and thus enabling new high voltage safety concepts.
Suitable background
High Voltage Systems, Signal Processing, EMC, Analogue Electronics
Description of thesis work
In this project you have the opportunity to develop a design for High Voltage Interlock Loop (HVIL) for next generation electrified heavy vehicle high voltage systems. During this project you will research different safety standards, analytically compare these in different aspects, and develop a design for a selected concept.
