Ikano Bank is now looking for a Head of Accounting and Reporting with ambitions to develop our accounting department to excellence in delivering accounting and reporting services. The person we are looking for needs hands-on experience and good understanding of accounting principles and firm reporting deadlines as well as high ability to understand the overall business context and ability to see possibilities in making thing differently. You must have proven leadership skills with lots of enthusiasm and energy.
This position reports directly to the CFO and is based out of Lund in Sweden.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead and develop the Central Accounting and Reporting function and create good working sprit towards other departments within the bank
- Ensure that Ikano Bank AB conducts all accounting activities in accordance with Swedish GAAP and IFRS as well as that local branches apply to local GAAPs
- Responsible for consolidation and reporting the bank to the Ikano group accounts
- Responsible for a timely and high quality monthly closing process and in the delivery of regulatory financial reports
- Ensure that all accounting transactions systems and procedures comply with regulations, accounting principles, standards and corporate guidelines.
- Liaise and coordinate with external auditors
- Back up the Tax manager in VAT and Tax matters
- Provide ad-hoc support and analysis to support business

- Being a good representative of Ikano and of the values that we represent
- Take an active role in various decision forums


Profile and qualifications:

- Minimum 15 years of experience in accounting ? its procedures, practices and principles, preferably from the banking/financial services or other regulated industries
Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience
- Experience from and courage in driving change
- Result driven & structured with a good sense of humor & ability to build good relations and work in diverse environments
- Hands-on mentality and experience from leading in an international company working with firm deadlines
- Good knowledge of Swedish GAAP, IFRS and VAT & Tax regulations and understanding of differences in accounting principles between countries and jurisdictions
- Good understanding of group accounting and consolidation principles
- Excellent communication skills. Fluency in Swedish and English are essential
