Head of Application Engineering, Power Solutions

In 2020, Power Solutions delivered 11 000 engines. This successful growth is expected to increase even further and will put high demands on Scania to provide premium services and service network to our customers. To support our Scania Business Units and global OEM customers on this exciting journey we are looking for a new Head of Application Engineering. You will coach and lead a team whose overall responsibility is to support markets and customers here and now as well as long-term drive the service business development for Power Solutions globally.

Your tasks


• Be overall responsible for driving the develop and implementation of application support at Power Solutions. You and your team will have a close cooperation with several departments such as Service Information (YS), Scania Academy (HC) and supporting teams within Power Solutions.
• Drive the technical support to our distributors and OEM’s for Power Solutions. Together with Reserach and Development at Scania we have the responsibility to secure the installation of our products in the application. In this task we act as the interface between Scania CV and our Scania Business Units as well as global OEM customers.
• Support our Scania Business Units in their way of working in order to build their competence. This includes driving cross-functional development of new tools, processes and services.
• For global OEM customers the team has a Key Account responsibility for the technical questions and an important role in handling the communication in regards to new products and solutions.

In this job you will achieve a broad network, from Key Account customers to distributors and various departments within Scania. You will get the opportunity to understand technical demands and turn them into strategic activities. This means both developing the team and the methods, with a long-term perspective.

Your profile


• You have a university degree in engineering.
• You have 5-10 years of technical work, preferably as a technical specilalist or manager. 
• You enjoy working with people and can lead a team with an enthusiasm that motivates people. Earlier leadership experience is considered as a merit.
• You are a result- and solution- oriented person and enjoy working in a high-paced environment handling many tasks at a time.
• You are service-minded and have the customer in focus. Experience from working in an international environment is considered a merit.
