Within CEVT the department of Motion control plays an important role in delivering the systems and functions that control the motion of the vehicle in the most comfortable end energy-efficient way. With mobility in mind, this is a challenging and interesting task. Motion control consists of 5 teams whereas “Application Function SW Development” is the heart with the in-house developers. We are now looking for a Head of the department.

The role

The Head of Application Function SW Development is responsible for the in-house developed application SW for Motion Control. The application SW should meet required functionality, comply with OBD and diagnostic requirements worldwide, be ISO26262 compliant and follow our process that fulfills ASPICE. We apply an agile framework and the current setup consists of 2 scrum teams. The team consists of 17 people and you will report to the Vice President.

As Head of Application Function SW Development, you are also the process owner for Software Engineering within the department and further naturally responsible for the development and performance management of staff. We expect you to lead the team in accordance with CEVT Leadership Manifesto; Courage, Trust and Care. For this role, you will be based at our office in Lindholmen, Gothenburg but travels may occur occasionally.

This is what you will do most of the time:

- Ensure project issues are managed with agreed solutions between China and Sweden teams
- Manage the development and performance of the team members including salary setting and work environment responsibility
- Develop way of working to secure quality and efficiency
- Contribute to the management team for the department.
- Buildup develops and long-term secure the needed competence, capacity and working processes within the module team.
- Organize, supervise and quality assure work activities.
- Experience planning how the financial resources of a business or department are to be allocated during the next business period
- Support teams to evaluate engineering solutions.
- Responsible to support the organization to remove impediments that slowing down or blocking work progress.
- Owns operational processes in the area and accountable to build a learning and continuously improving organizational culture.
- Ensure a product roadmap that meets the strategy, vision and mission of the department

Required Skills and Experience

- University degree in a related subject or the equivalent experience
- Intercultural / international experience, ideally including China / Asia exposure
- Experience with building software development teams and managing distributed teams
- Experience with software development process
- Experience with agile development platforms
- Experience with ASPICE and ISO26262 standards
- Experience with managing software development all the way to production
- Some background in model-based development
