Head of Back Office

Our Market Operations department within E.ON Sverige in Malmö is looking for a Head of Back Office
Our future department Market Operations in Malmö will provide market access for E.ON’s sales and generation flows in Sweden. Main tasks include transaction of physical and financial trades using relevant market places and counterparties both on the short term and forward markets. The department will work closely together with Portfolio Management who will handle commodity risks inherent in E.ON’s Swedish business and our customers.

Your responsibilities


Lead and develop a team of 5 Back Office Analysts based in Malmo.  
Ensure timely and correct trade controls and confirmations, load data management as well as settlement of physical and financial power, gas and emissions trades on the Nordic market.
Ensure timely and correct processes including administration and transfers of green certificates,
Maintaining data quality and certain reporting activities
Ensure that the performance of the team is according to the current risk policy and external and internal audit requirements.  
Ensure an updated process landscape and internal controls meeting the defined target processes.
Develop, together with your team, automated and efficient working processes for administration of trades, settlement and load data management.
Promote a proactive interface to other departments and internal stakeholders with a keen sense for cooperation.
Support the improvement and professionalization of the IT structure and the front-to-end processes.


 

In the context of the restructuring of the E.ON group, several functions and processes are being newly established and are currently in the design phase. As part of the management team in Market Operations you will be:


Ensuring day 1 readiness of operational processes and IT systems for the back office in the context of the one2two project
Proactively shaping, driving, and building the Back Office function in the new Market Operations Sweden, including interfaces and processes



Financial or Technical University degree
Extensive experience in operative Back Office processes in the energy sector
Solid experience of team management
High ability to take own initiatives, to communicate successfully with stakeholders and to cooperate with others
Strong focus on processes and quality
Proven track record in change management
Fluent in Swedish and English
