About this opportunity
We are looking for an experienced technology savvy leader for our newly established Product Development Group (PDG), “Shared Software Pipelines”!
The Software Production System (SPS) organization (former Development System & Environment, DSE) has recently restructured to optimize operations and prepare for future growth. As part of this, we have formed 5 new Product Development Groups, a System Management unit and a Product Management unit. The objective of this PDG is to design, build, deliver and operate compelling state of the art software pipelines for R&D and services with quality, availability and in-service performance. The PDG consists of units in Kista and Montreal.
You have a deep understanding of R&D and how Product Development and services works, and what is required to be successful. You have solid knowledge and experiences of CI, release and CD in large setups with many products as well as good knowledge of the overall Ericsson product portfolio.

What you will do
Establish, lead and manage the PDG to be efficient with a can-do mindset that continuously strives for finding new ways to deliver faster, with higher quality and within budget.
Execute on and be accountable for reaching the PDG targets as well as ensuring that the PDG actively contributes to achieving the targets of other units in SPS.
Secure the PDG is up to date on the latest industry and Ericsson business and technology status, and together with SPS Product Management, System Management and Operations continuously identifying how the PDG continuously can meet future needs.
Be an active member of the SPS leadership team and continuously reaching the overall objectives of the unit.
Enable a good collaboration with other SPS PDGs, key partners, PDUs/users, Engineering Services, IT and other Ericsson partners.
You will bring
Deep understanding of the software flows including continuous design, integration, deployment and operations, as well as of Lean and Agile methodology.
Knowledge on how to build effective software pipelines
Excellent people/leadership and mentoring skills in line with Ericsson core values.
A broad experience of the Ericsson product portfolio with a solid understanding of PDU’s and services needs in order to be successful.
Ability to lead organizations into new ways of working and have a track record of setting and delivering to high standards.
Sharp analytical skills with an ability to formulate and deliver on strategies.
Experiences of customer near work such as engagements, service deliveries, sales or similar.
Key qualifications
MSc level in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge
10+ years’ experience of leadership within R&D
Solid knowledge in R&D, software pipelines, processes, methods and tools, and cloud native
Business understanding and customer insight
Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, speak & write English fluently.
