The Communications team work across the full breadth of the company, within each business area and globally in the markets and regions. Our communications bring the Volvo Cars purpose, strategy and journey to life through inspiring storytelling and innovative ways of reaching and engaging with people.

We are looking for a Head of Brand & Purpose Communication. As a member of the global Communication Management Team for Volvo Cars you will get the opportunity to establish a new unit that will define, amplify and lead areas including action-orientated purpose campaigns, Employer Branding, influencer strategies, increasing the voice of Volvo Cars in relevant cultural days and events, and establishing meaningful collaborations.
Further you will secure the implementation of communication strategies, manage agencies, and hyper-collaborate with departments such as Marketing & Brand, as well as the people who design our cars, our sustainability colleagues, and others on our shared agenda.
If successful, you will have helped to attract new loyal Volvo fans to us – consumers, talents and other stakeholders – contributed to our growth, as well drive meaningful and lasting positive change in our business and wider society.
We’re looking for you
We are looking for a leader who is highly motivated, results-orientated, well-organised, creative and innovative with good time management skills. A minimum of 10 years’ experience in brand, marketing, purpose or communication is required.
In this role, it is important to have strong verbal and written communication skills as well as having a commercial understanding and experience in contributing to elements such as sales and visitation, as well as long-term measures.
You will actively work with market research and insights to analyse results and convert them into relevant activities.
You are a strong people leader and have the ability to inspire and mobilise directly and across broader teams and organization structures. You are able to create clarity, show courage and empower a high performing team.
