Your new role
The Bus and Coach organisation consists of 70 superstars, mostly located in Södertälje but partly also in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The management team you will lead and grow together with, includes five direct reports and some supporting functions. You’ll be part of the Sales and Marketing management team and report to the Executive Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing Scania Group.
As Head of Buses and Coaches, you will face a wide variety of exciting tasks including:
• developing and executing on the strategic direction for the bus and coach business to ensure we deliver expected customer satisfaction, vehicle volumes, service growth and reach our sustainability targets
• in an inclusive culture, actively leading and empowering your organization in order to reach the set targets
• being the chairperson of the People Transport Business Value Table – a Scania cross-functional forum for People Transport with delegated business responsibility
• contributing to secure the alignment with the other brands within the Traton group
• ensuring development and support to empower the commercial sales organization
• through a strong product management function making sure that the customer’s voice guides in the solution development decisions in order to secure an optimized future solution offering
• being an “internal ambassador” for the bus business
• building relationships with key customers, body builders and other stakeholders, important for future bus businesses
Your profile
We think you are a people-oriented, inspiring and passionate leader with a strong drive to develop our business and to lead the journey being a leader in sustainable transport. You have extensive leadership experience, leading and developing other leaders, and you have a proven leadership record. Trust, communication, teamwork and inclusion are your guiding leadership principles.
You have a commercial and international background as well as technical interest. Knowledge of the bus business is meriting but not necessary. Cross functional collaboration is important, both within your own team and with other parts of Scania and TRATON Group, so bringing people together is something you are good at!
We believe you have an entrepreneurial personality and that you enjoy engaging with others and exchanging perspectives. To be successful in this job you need an intrinsic motivation, a positive attitude, adaptability and a collaborative mindset. As the area is wide scoped, being self-driven combined with strong leadership skills are critical to motivate and empower colleagues on the journey ahead. English is a necessity, other languages a merit. Frequent travels are part of the job.
