Head of Business Control

Are you ready to take on a new role as Head of Business Control? We are currently looking for a strong leader who drive change, optimize processes and structures and improve ways of working. You will report to the CFO, be a part of the Finance Management Team and the location is Malmö.

You will be responsible for fostering a dynamic work environment where people work with continuous improvements and strive to reach our goals. You will interact with key stakeholders across our functions to support and challenge and ensure we lead the company with our values in mind.

Main responsibilities

General

• Monthly management reporting and follow-up on performance across our functions and countries
• Lead our budget- and forecasting processes meaning – planning, instructions, consolidation and presentation
• Lead the shared service center for finance support to our global support- and staff functions
• Ad hoc analysis to CFO, management team and global functions
• Promoting the essence of the company as the foundation of company culture
• Being a good representative of the company and of the values that company represents
• Lead a team of 5-6 direct reports and coordinate the business controller activities with local staff in each country

Core operation and control

• Complete management reporting and analysis on a timely basis
• Assess business cases and develop financial models
• Develop and implement our financial steering model and propose efficiency improvements
• Propose changes and improvements of policies, guidelines and instructions within the business control area.
• Ensure that cost allocations are in line with agreed SLA’s and transfer pricing documentation

Skills and Capabilities Required

You have an academic degree or equivalent and 5-7 years of senior experience in leading a team of highly competent and experienced controllers or similar specialists. You have 3-5 years of experience within the financial services industry, preferably within a similar function as well as an understanding of the regulatory environment and IFRS. Experience from working in an international environment is essential.

To succeed in this role, you need to be a strong leader with excellent skills in motivating, encouraging and influencing others. You are used to navigating in dynamic environments with various stakeholders. You have a strong sense of how to optimize processes and structures and you are not afraid to make necessary changes. Moreover, you have good skills in building financial models, strong strategic- and analytical skills as well as stakeholder management. You are action oriented and customer centric, with a business-oriented mindset. You have great decision-making- and communication skills, in writing as well as verbally. Fluency in English and Swedish is required.
